Abstract :

Abstract Overview

Background: Exam anxiety is a common psychological challenge among adolescents that impairs concentration and academic performance. While conventional interventions exist, complementary approaches such as Yoga Prana Vidya (YPV) remain underexplored.

Intervention: A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 22 high school students (aged 13–19) reporting high exam anxiety. The intervention consisted of 30 days of daily remote YPV distance healing (20 minutes per session) delivered by two Certified YPV Healers. Protocols included YPV Level 3 healing and energy balancing, blood cleansing, chakra shielding (Ajna, throat, and solar plexus), transmutation of sex energy, and environmental cleansing.

Results: Mean test anxiety scores reduced from 2.59 (high-normal) to 1.83 (comfortably low) on the Westside Test Anxiety Scale, representing a 29% decrease in anxiety.
Academic performance improved by 14.7%, with mean exam scores increasing from 74.4% to 85.4%.
Qualitative feedback from students and parents highlighted improved focus, confidence, emotional stability, better study habits, and reduced procrastination.

Conclusion: YPV intervention significantly reduced exam anxiety and enhanced academic performance among adolescents. It offers a promising complementary strategy for stress management in educational contexts.
